Rastra Bank says merchants can't charge customers extra for point-of-sale service
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has issued a notice for the general public. The notice states that "Any departmental store, mart, hotel and other merchants using Point of Sale (POS) is not allowed to take extra charge from the customers. If any merchant charges extra amount then the concerned individual is requested to take the bill and the payment voucher to the bank issuing the card."
