The ups and downs in the index is always expected and considered normal in any exchange. NEPSE too had seen its share of fluctuations, but from Feb 18, 2018 the downs started dominating and the market turned bearish. From that day till March 22 the index has fallen from 1424.95 to 1220.44, which accounts to 204.51 points.
As in the given chart, you can see a downward crawl of the index with very few improvements. During this period, the index suffered the highest fall of 77.07 points during the week of Feb 28 to March 5. To look at a more recent incidence the index further tanked 67.92 points in just a period of 5 days, between March 18 to 22.
In such period of distress, the brokers are performing fairly well. The below article analyses the performance of the brokers based on various criteria for the period of Feb 18, 2018 to March 22, 2018.
