Singapore Airlines to Operate Wide-Body Aircraft on Singapore–Kathmandu Route During Spring Peak
Singapore Airlines (SIA) will deploy wide-body aircraft on its Singapore–Kathmandu route during March and April 2026 to accommodate increased passenger demand. Out of seven weekly flights, two will operate with a 337-seat wide-body aircraft, featuring 36 Business Class seats with fully-flat beds and direct aisle access, and 301 ergonomically designed Economy Class seats. The remaining flights will continue with narrow-body aircraft. The move comes as both Nepali residents abroad return home and international tourists visit Nepal for spring holidays and peak trekking season.
The wide-body aircraft offers an enhanced in-flight experience with SIA’s KrisWorld entertainment system, providing over 1,900 movies, TV shows, music albums, and games, along with personalized playlists and recommendations. Passengers will also benefit from unlimited complimentary Wi-Fi, automatically available to Business Class, PPS Club members, and supplementary cardholders, while Economy Class passengers can access it by registering as KrisFlyer members.
Flight schedules for the wide-body aircraft are set for Wednesdays and Fridays: Singapore to Kathmandu departs at 18:55 hrs, arriving at 21:40 hrs, while the return flight departs Kathmandu at 23:05 hrs, arriving in Singapore at 06:15 hrs the next day. Other flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays will operate with narrow-body aircraft as usual, ensuring sufficient capacity during the spring travel peak.
