Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the government was determined to achieve the goal of development and prosperity in the country. Laying the foundation stone for the Santhal Integrated settlement in ward no. 9 of Urlabari municipality of Morang district on Tuesday, he said the problem of the country is development and poverty, which will be addressed by the current government.

It is the national and foreign forces who do not wish to see Nepal develop that are against the government, he said. "The government will not manage housing for all the landless and homeless people in the country, after developing the necessary infrastructure for the same," he said.

Stating that the minority Santhal ethnic group was kept out of the mainstream of the state, the Prime Minister said achieving the goal of prosperity will require socio-economic and cultural empowerment of such ethnic groups in the country.

Minister for Urban Development Prabhu Shah, Education Minister Krishna Gopal Shrestha, Minister for Land Reform and Management Dr. Shiva Maya Tumbahamphe, NCP leader Subas Nemang and other leaders were present on the occasion.
