CDSC: Six more companies sign up for dematerialization; 145 companies’ shares dematerialized

On Poush 24, CDS and Clearing Ltd had reached an agreement with six more companies to dematerilize their share. Api Power Co. Ltd., Rapti Bheri Bikas Bank Ltd, Kalinchowk Development Bank Ltd., Reliable Development Bank Ltd., Unique Finance Ltd. and Laxmi Value Fund 1 have signed an agreement on Friday.

Now the total number of companies in agreement with CDSC to dematerialize their respective shares has reached 145.

At the direction of Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), CDS and Clearing Limited (CDSC) had made a announcement instructing all the listed companies to get their shares fully dematerialized by  Poush end. Trading of shares of listed companies can be carried out only in Demat form from Magh 01, 2072. If any company fails to dematerialize their shares by the end of the Poush 2072, the trading of such companies will be halted from Magh 01, 2072.

CDSC has asked the Investors should open a DEMAT account through authorized depository participants.
