Upper Bhotekoshi Hydroelectricity project will be completed in Ashad; Ongoing crisis delays project by two months

The construction work of upper bhotekoshi has been affected due to ongoing fuel crisis. The project will take twomore months to complete. The promoters of Bhotekoshi power company had aimed to complete the reconstruction work and start generating electricity by Bishak 2073 but due to lack of fuel and equipment, the project will take more time to complete.
Narendra Prajapati, CEO of Bhotekoshi hydroelectricity, said “ The project will be completed in Ashad 2072. Until the blockade is over, the work will be affected. Electricity home and pen stake pipe has been affected so the equipments needs to changed. “
We have got diesel in little quantity and the reconstruction work is being carried out, he added. The reconstruction of the project will require Rs 2 arba.
The company is importing important equipment from China. If the project had been in operation by now the 25 MW electricity would have been generated.
The people of the project affected areas will be getting 6% of public shares of the project. Yearly the project will be generating 29 crore and 32 lakhs unit. Out of which 4 crore units will be sold to Nepal Electricity Authority at Rs 1.62 while other units of electricity will be sold at business rate.
