Timely plan, strategy to prop up post-corona economy

Economists and planning experts have stressed the need of plans and strategy on time in order to prop up the economy after the coronavirus pandemic.

The former finance ministers, party office bearers and economists said this at a special interaction held at NC central office chaired by party President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Tuesday. The meeting also discussed the steps the State needs to take to provide adequate relief materials to those in desperate need, said office chief secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel.

The meeting was attended by party president Deuba, leaders Ramchandra Poudel, Bimalendra Nidhi, Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar, Dr Sashank Koirala, Purna Bahadur Khadka, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, Gopal Man Shrestha, Dr Minendra Rijal, and economists Dr Shankar Sharma, Dr Prithvi Raj Ligal, Dr Jagdish Chandra Pokhrel, Dr Swarnim Wagle, Dr Achyut Wagle, Dr Poshraj Pande, Dr Bishwo Poudel and Raju Nepal.
