The Income Of Nepalis Increased By 181 Dollars In A Single Year

Nepal, for a decade, is experiencing modest growth but brisk poverty reduction. With its per capita income rapidly falling behind its regional peers and unable to achieve its long-standing ambition to graduate from low-income status, Nepal has one of the slowest-growing economies in Asia.

However, this year the income of Nepalis is expected to increase by 181 dollars in a single year. As compared to last year, the income rose from 1191 dollars to 1372 dollars this year.

On the basis of the current exchange rate viz Rs. 122, the per capita income of Nepalis has increased by Rs 22,082 as compared to last year.  Last year, the amount was Rs. 1. 45 lakhs, this time it has reached Rs. 1.67 lakhs.
