Sunrise & Nepal SBI Bank earns Rs 85.79 crore & Rs 1.10 arba in Q3

Sunrise Bank Limited (SRBL) has published its first quarterly report after acquiring NIDC Capital Markets Limited. As per the unaudited financial statement, its net profit has increased by 47.10% to Rs 85.79 crore at the end of the third quarter of the fiscal year. After the acquisition of NIDC Capital, its share capital has increased to Rs 5.45 arba in Q3 from Rs 3.33 arba in corresponding quarter. Likewise its reserve and surplus has also increased to Rs 2 arba from Rs 1.02 arba Similar improvements can be seen in its deposit and loans growth that have grown by a 40.64% and 46.40% respectively. In the ongoing fiscal year, its deposit base stands at Rs 58.06 arba with loans of Rs 50.86 arba. Its CD ratio stands at 73.65%. SRBL’s net interest income has risen from Rs 1.02 arba in Q3 to Rs 1.62 arba in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal year. The bank’s non-performing loan (NPL) has declined to 1.50 percent from 2.28% in Q3. Its earning per share (EPS) now stand at Rs 20.98, net worth per share is at Rs 136.83 and P/E ratio at 27.17 times.

Similarly, Nepal SBI Bank Limited (SBI) has earned Rs 1.10 arba in net profit until the end of third quarter of the ongoing fiscal year 2073/74. As per the unaudited financial statement of the commercial bank published today, it has posted 16.21% increase in its net profit. It had earned Rs 95.03 crore in the same period last year. Its net interest income has increased by 26.24% in Q3 this year. Its paid up capital after its recently concluded FPO and 28% bonus share stands at Rs 4.97 arba with a reserve of Rs 3.11 arba. Its reserve grew by 14.68% after it issued 67,767 units FPO shares at Rs 971 per share. Last year, its reserve was at Rs 2.71 arba. Accounting for this, its net worth per share has now increased to Rs 162.47. The bank has collected Rs. 85.46 arba in deposits in Q3 up from Rs 63.41 arba in the same quarter of previous year. Its loan and advances boosted to Rs 61.71 arba in the current fiscal year up from Rs 46.20 arba in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. SBI’s non-performing loan has slightly dropped from 0.14 % in the corresponding period of the fiscal year 2072/73 to 0.12% in third quarter of the fiscal year 2073/74. Its annualized EPS now stands at Rs 29.57 and P/E ratio at 49.04 times. Nepal SBI Bank is going to issue 10:4 (40%) right share to its shareholders from Jestha 7, 2074. After the issuance of 40% right shares, its paid up capital will reach Rs 6.97 arba. As per NRB’s directive for all commercial banks to increase their paid up capital to a minimum of Rs 8 arba by the end of FY 2073/74, SBI will need to issue a further capital hike of Rs 1.03 arba (15%).
