NEPSE Rebounds Sharply by 62.25 Points; SHPC Emerges Turnover Leader

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded an extraordinary gain today, rising by 62.25 points (2.38%) to settle at 2,673.69, reversing yesterday’s minor loss of 1.03 points.

The benchmark index opened at 2,613.78, touching an intraday high at 2,676.25, while the lowest point was 2,611.71. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 10.51 Arba, with 27,245,459 shares traded across 308 companies through 99,305 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 43.44 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 14.47 Kharba.

Sanima Mai Hydropower Ltd. (SHPC) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 59.20 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 630.50.

Four companies led the gainers' list, hitting the upper circuit limit.

Meanwhile, Nyadi Hydropower Limited (NYADI) recorded the steepest drop, falling 4.50%.

Among sectors, the Finance Index posted the highest increase of 5.47%, whereas the Trading Index saw the least gain of 0.53%.
