Stock Market continues to plunge by double digit; Index closes at 1580.03 level, Turnover above Rs 84.91 crore

On the last trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has declined by 18.33 points or 1.15% to settle at 1580.03 points.
Today Nepse Index opened at 1597.18 points and the local bourse was seen in downward trend. The total turnover of the day stood above 84.91 crore in which more than 15.72 lakh units shares were traded 10,459 transactions.
NIC Asia Bank Limited (NICA) topped the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 6.26 crore) and the most traded shares today.
The best performer of the day was General Finance Limited (GFL) while Siddhartha Investment Growth Scheme-1 (SIGS1) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index slightly went down by 3.66 points and 1.37 points respectively.
All sectors at Nepse landed in red. Sub-indices of insurance decline the most by 147.1 points.
