Standard Chartered Bank honored with ‘Bank of the Year’ award

Standard Chartered Bank Nepal (SCBN) has been awarded ‘The Bank of the Year Award 2015’ at the Banker Awards 2015.  This is the fourth time that the bank has received the award. The Bank had earlier won this award in 2002, 2009 and 2013. The award ceremony was held in London on Wednesday. In addition to the Bank of the Year 2015 award, SCBNL also won three other prestigious awards. The bank also won Euromoney Awards for Excellence, Worlds Best Emerging Market Banks for 2015 from Global Finance and the World's Best Consumer Digital Banking Awards for 2015 in Nepal from Global Finance Magazine. ‘The Bank of the Year Award’ is regarded as the industry standard for banking excellence. The winners are judged on the basis of their ability to deliver returns to shareholders and gain strategic advantage, bank’s financial performance, shareholders’ value and customers’ initiative, among others.
