Selling pressure pulls down market;Index dips by 5.98 points supported by turnover above Rs 1.41 arba

On the last trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has declined by 5.98 points or 0.36% to close at 1,651.04 points today.
Nepse Index opened at 1657.11 points today and the local bourse was seen fluctuating throughout the day.
299,134 units shares of Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank Limited (NCCB) and 166,898 units shares of Siddhartha Equity Oriented Scheme (SEOS) were traded the most today. 7 companies hit positive circuit break today.
Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank limited (NCCB) and Surya Life Insurance Company Limited (SLICL) had the highest turnover of Rs 12.93 crore and Rs 8.11 crore respectively. The number of transactions of NCCB and SLICL reached 627and 416.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 1.41 arba where more than 23.37 lakh units shares were traded through 9080 transactions.
Sensitive index and float index decreased 1.5 and 0.43 points respectively.
Except Insurance sub-index, all the sub-indices landed in red zone today. Hotels group witnessed the biggest drop of 51.72 points followed by Hydropower sector by 20.64 points.
