Prince Harry to work on earthquake relief project for one more week

The UK Prince Harry is to work on Team Rubicon UK earthquake relief project for one more week in Nepal at the end of his official tour. The UK Prince had come to Nepal on a five-day official visit to Nepal on the occasion of the bicentenary of the establishment of Nepal-Britain diplomatic ties. "Team Rubicon is a disaster response charity, uniting the skills and experience of military veterans with first responders to deploy emergency response teams in the aftermath of disasters. For the next week, Prince Harry will be embedded with a group of Team Rubicon volunteers in a remote village to help with the reconstruction of a new school destroyed by the 7.8 magnitude earthquake of April 2015, " stated a press release issued by the Kensington Palace. At a reception hosted by British Ambassador to Nepal, Richard Morris, in his honour, UK Prince Harry announced that he would be spending the next six days in a remote village with a charity called Team Rubicon. "The team I’m joining will be working with a community to rebuild a school damaged in the earthquake. I'm so grateful to have this opportunity at the end of my official tour to do my small bit to help this beautiful country," he added. The reception was attended by Chief Justice Kalyan Shrestha, ministers, chiefs of the diplomatic missions and high ranking officials of Nepal government. RSS
