The Maldhunga Bridge, an important link connecting communities across the Kaligandaki River, has resumed operation after being damaged by flooding two weeks ago.

The bridge had been closed to traffic after floodwaters eroded one side of the structure, disrupting transportation along the route.

Repair and reconstruction work at the damaged section has now been completed, allowing the bridge to reopen from Monday.

The closure had disrupted connectivity between Parbat, Baglung and other surrounding districts, causing difficulties for passengers, local residents and the movement of goods.

With the bridge back in operation, transportation and connectivity along the affected route are expected to return to normal.
