PM Oli Claims Positive Shift in Economy and Governance One Year into Tenure

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the country’s economic indicators have moved positively over the past year since the formation of his government.
In a statement posted on Facebook on Monday, the Prime Minister noted that national development projects have gained momentum, and that the practice of setting deadlines and demanding results—previously uncommon—has now been initiated.
“There was no trend of setting timelines and demanding results before; now it has started,” he wrote, adding that key laws have been amended to ease service delivery for citizens.
He also highlighted that public services are gradually shifting from in-person queues to online platforms, signaling a step forward in digital governance. “There is still much to be done, and the government remains focused on those tasks,” he said.
The current coalition government, led by Oli in partnership with the Nepali Congress and other parties, was formed on July 14 last year.
