Pangeni named NRB spokesperson

KATHMANDU, Aug 3:

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has appointed Trilochan Pangeni as its new spokesperson. NRB's Executive Director Pangeni was transferred to Office of the Governor from Internal Audit Department recently in the first major internal shake-up of the Governor Chiranjibi Nepal since he assumed the leadership of the central bank in mid-March.

Pangeni, who joined NRB in 1987, have worked in various departments of the NRB including the leadership role at Research Department, Foreign Exchange Department and Banking Regulation Department. Executive Director Min Bahadur Shrestha, who was NRB's spokesperson before Pangeni was designated to the post, has been transferred to Public Debt Management Department from Research Department.
