NRB To Issue "Foreign Employment Saving Bond 2086" To Nepalese Working Abroad From Baishakh 23

Nepal Rastra Bank is issuing a "Foreign Employment Saving Bond 2086" worth Rs. 1 Arba from today i.e. 23rd Baishakh to 22nd Jestha, 2081. The foreign employment bond is targeted at Nepali migrant workers and non-resident Nepalese (NRNs) across the globe. This is a government bond issued by NRB on behalf of the government of Nepal. The bond will mature on 2086 BS, i.e. 5 years from now.

Interested investors can file for bonds worth a minimum of Rs 10,000 and maximum bonds worth an amount not exceeding the size of the total issue and divisible by 10,000 without remainder. The bond is offered at a very attractive interest rate of 9 percent per annum. The payout of the interest amount will be done every six months. Investors can use this bond as collateral to take loans from banks and financial institutions other than Nepal Rastra Bank itself.

The issue date is on Jestha 29, meaning interest will be counted from that day.
