NRB allows L/C to import goods from Rasuwa

KATHMANDU:

Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has allowed class ‘A’ and class ‘B’ financial institutions to issue letter of credit (L/C) for importing goods from China through Rasuwa customs point along with the operation of full-fledged customs office in Rasuwagadhi.

Issuing a circular today, the central bank has permitted the financial institutions to open letter of credit

in foreign currency to import goods from China using the Rasuwa customs point.Earlier, only the Tatopani customs point was recognised for the purpose

during the bilateral trade with the northern neighbour.Rasuwa customs was inaugurated in December last year.
