NMB Sulav Investment Fund-1 & NMB Hybrid Fund L-1 reports decreased NAV; Nepal Telecom becomes highest invested company by both the scheme

NMB Sulav Investment Fund-1 (NMBSF-1) and NMB Hybrid Fund L-1 (NMBHF-1), both promoted by NMB Bank Limited and managed by NMB Capital has reported decrease in their net assets value (NAV) for the month of Magh, 2074.
According to the financial report published today, NMBSF-1 a 5 years close ended mutual fund scheme’s NAV decreased to Rs 13.67 from the previous month’s value of Rs 14.01. Still the NAV of the fund is above the par value of Rs 10 per unit.
The mutual fund scheme which began with a total fund of Rs 75 crore, has investment of Rs 45.35 crore in listed shares and Rs 4.19 crore in the public issue, right shares and bonus shares. The fund has set aside Rs 1.40 crore in bonds and debentures.
Out of its total investment in listed shares, NMB Sulav Investment Fund-1 has bought Rs 2.61 crore worth of shares of Nepal Telecom.
NMBSF-1 reported net loss of Rs 3.54 crore for the month of Magh.

Likewise, NMBHF-1 a 7 years close-end mutual fund scheme’s NAV has decreased to Rs 10.34 in the month of Magh from Rs 10.46 of the previous month. The NAV is slightly above the par value of Rs 10 per unit.
The scheme, which began with a fund size of RS 1 arba, has invested Rs 24.82 crore in listed shares and Rs 2.54 crore in the public issue, right shares and bonus shares. The fund has set aside Rs 5 crore in bonds and debentures.
Out of its total investment in listed shares, NMB Hybrid Fund has bought Rs 2.65 crore worth of 34,805 shares of Nepal Telecom.
It has reported a net loss of Rs 1.57 crore for the month of Magh.
