New NRB Governer Mr. Maha Prasad Adhikari formally begins his responsibilities; receives oath from Chief Justice

Newly appointed Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Mr. Maha Prasad Adhikari has formally begun his job on Chaitra 25, 2076. Mr. Adhikari was appointed by the Nepal Government on Chaitra 24, 2076 and received oath of his designation and secrecy from the Chief Justice Honorable Cholendra Shumsher JB Rana before joining his service.

The central bank has organized a welcome event to welcome Governor Mr. Adhikari which was also attended and addressed by DY Governors Mr. Chintamani Siwakoti, Mr. Shivaraj Shrestha, head of NRB Employee Union Mr. Rudra Prasad Timalsina, head of Employees of Nepal Association of Financial Institutions Mr. Resham Raj Regmi, among others.

Governor Mr. Adhikari had previously served as DY Governor from 2067 to 2072 and as CEO in the Investment Board of Nepal.
