NEPSE up by 10.16 points to close at 1072.94; total turnover of Rs 36.32 crore

On the last trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange went up by 10.16 points or 0.96% to close at 1072.94 .
Opening 1062.80 level this afternoon, the local brouse went up to 1082.45 level during the second trading hour. The market seems positive as Minister of Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa, who is on a tour of India said that a three-step political agreement to resolve the crippling economic blockade has been reached between the government of Nepal and the protesting Madhesi parties.
The total turnover of the day stood at Rs 36.32 crore where more than 6 lakh unit shares were traded through 2,102 transactions. HBL, NABILP and NABIL had highest turnover of the day.
Sensitive index and the float index went up by 2.28 points and 0.84 points respectively.
Banking Development Bank, Insurance landed in green, whereas Hotels, Hydropower, Finance and others landed in red.
