NEPSE loses 4 points today to close at 1,551; Turnover at almost Rs 58 crore

The benchmark capital market index, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), has closed negatively by 4.09 points or 0.26% to close at 1551.07 points.
Today, NEPSE Index opened at 1555.16 points and the local bourse was seen in downward trend in the first trading hour losing almost 15 points. Sudden influx of buyers helped the market gain momentum, however, sellers looking forward to sell their shares at increased price dragged the market down again. Today, NEPSE index swayed in between 1,542.06 and 1,560.35 levels.
206,975 units shares of Siddhartha equity Oriented Scheme (SEOS) and 81,989 units shares of NMB Sulav Investment Fund 1 (NMBSF1) were traded the most today.
Everest Bank Limited (EBL) had the highest turnover of over Rs. 9.01 crore, followed by Nepal Credit and Commerce bank Limited (NCCB) with Rs. 2.95 crore.
The best performer of the day was National Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NMFBS) whereas Everest Bank Limited Convertible Preference Shares (EBLCP) was among the top losers today.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs. 57.92 crore in which more than 11.62 lakh unit shares were traded through 5,409 transactions.
Sensitive Index decreased by 1.3 points whereas float index increased by 0.41 points.
Expect Manufacturing & Production, Hydropower and others sub–groups, all sub-group landed in red zone today. Insurance sub-group decreased by 29.38 points.
