NEPSE Index went up by 9.46 points to close at 1160.84 points; Insurance sector up by 235.46 points; top 10 gainers list dominated by Non-life Insurance companies

On the first trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange went up by 9.46 points or 0.82 % to close at 1160.84 points. Opening at 1151.39 points this afternoon, the local brouse was seen in an upward trend. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 61.09 crore where more than 8 lakhs unit shares were traded through 4,553 transactions. Today, top ten gainers list was dominated by non-life insurance companies. 7 out of 10 companies in gainers list were non-life insurance companies. Sensitive index and the float index went up by 1.31 points and 0.63 points respectively. Banking, Hydropower and Manufacturing and Production landed in red. Trading, Hotels, Development Bank, Finance, Insurance and others sector landed in green.Insurance sector went up by 235.46 points and Development Bank sector by 25.91 points.
