NEPSE Index went up by 8.27 points to close at 1118.95 levels; Hydropower sector gets boost of 43 points while insurance dips by 42.77 poins

On the first trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange went up by 8.27 points or 0.74% to close at 1118.95 level. Opening at the 1110.73 level this afternoon, the local brouse was seen in upward trend today. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 31.14 crore where more than 4 lakhs unit shares were traded through 4,012 transactions. The hydropower sector got a boost of 43.13 points while the insurance sector fell by 42.77 points. Sensitive index and the float index went up by 2.52 points and 0.9 points respectively. Banking, Development Bank, Hydropower landed in green, whereas Hotels, Finance, Insurance and others landed on red.
