NEPSE Index went up by 15.56 points to close at 1122.79; Top gainers dominated by microfinance

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange went up by 15.56 points or 1.41 % to close at 1122.79. Opening at 1107.23 points this afternoon, the local brouse went up to a 1120.30 during first trading hour of the day then again came down to 1118.37 level during second trading hour of the day after that the index was seen in upward trend again. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 42.19 crore where more than 8.01 lakhs unit shares were traded through 3013 transactions. Nine out of ten top gainers are microfinance. Mount Makalu Development bank was only the non-microfinance institution in the top gainers positions. Rumors of requirement for hike in paid up capital for microfinance combined with nearing book closure for dividends of microfinance such as DDBL, CBBL has put them on the top gainers Sensitive index and the float index went up by 3.43 points and 1.1 points respectively.
