Nepse Index slides by 4.98 points with turnover above Rs 61.98 crore

Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) Index has lost 4.98 points today (0.30%) to close trading at 1644.26 points.
Today, Nepse Index opened at 1649.42 points, and the local bourse increased to 1654.87 points in the first trading hour, after which it was seen in a downward trend.
10.19 lakhs units of Siddhartha Equity Oriented Scheme (SEOS) and 9.09 lakh units of NIBL Samriddhi Fund 1 (NIBSF1) were traded the most today. Himalayan General Insurance Company Limited (HGI) had the highest turnover of over Rs. 10.34 crore, followed by Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank Limited (NCCB) with Rs. 3.48 crore.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs. 61.98 crore where 31.64 lakh unit shares were traded through 4,541 transactions. Bottlers Nepal Terai Limited (BNT) and Mero Microfinance Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MERO) hit positive circuit today as well.
Saptakoshi Development Bank Limited (SKDBL), Sahara Bikas Bank Limited (SHBL) and Bhargav Bikas Bank (BHBL) were also among the top losers today.
Sensitive and float index decreased by 1.2 points and 0.45 points respectively. Hotels, Manufacturing and Production and Others landed in green today. Insurance and Hydropower sub-index decreased by double digit.
