Nepse Index rises by 8.23 points to close at 1567.72 level; Improvement in turnover above Rs 73.94 crore

On the first trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has increased by 8.23 points or 0.53% to close at 1567.72 points today.
Nepse Index opened at 1559.67 points and went up to 1569.85 points today during the second trading hour of the day, and after that it was seen fluctuating.
617,151 units shares of Prabhu Bank Limited Promoter Shares (PRVUPO) and 56,953 unit shares of Kanchan Development Bank Limited (KADBL) were traded the most today.
The best performers for the day were Reliance Finance limited (RLFL) and Sindhu Bikas Bank Limited (SINDU) whereas; World Merchant Banking and Finance Limited (WMBF) and Barun Hydropower Limited (BARUN) were the top losers today.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 73.94 crore in which more than 15.85 lakh units shares were traded through 5,856 transactions.
Sensitive and float index went up by 1.85 and 0.63 points respectively.
Except Insurance, all the sub-indices landed in green zone today. Banking and Hotels sub-group rose by double digits.
