Nepse Index plunges by 17.83 points with turnover above Rs 47.77 crore

The benchmark capital market index, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), has plunged by 17.83 points or 1.20% to close at 1466.62 points. Today, NEPSE Index opened at 1484.45 points and the local bourse was seen downward trend throughout the day. The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 47.77 crore where more than 11.98 lakh units shares were traded through 5,383 transactions. index Standard Chartered Bank Limited (SCB) the list of companies in terms of turnover (Rs 3.22 crore) while Gurkhas Finance Limited Promoter Shares (GUFLPO) was traded the most (108,158 units) today. Sensitive and float index went down by 3.9 points and 1.39 points respectively. All the indices of ten trading group landed in red at the end of the day. . Sub-indices of insurance surged the most by 135.05 points. The best performer for the day was Mahuli Samudayic Bittiya Sanstha Limited (MSLB) whereas Bottlers Nepal (Terai)  Limited was among the biggest loser today.
