Nepal Telecom, the state-owned telecommunications company, has introduced a new 30 Mbps internet package at an annual cost of Rs 4,999, effective from today.

The new offer comes as private internet service providers have announced the discontinuation of some affordable internet packages. Nepal Telecom said the new plans are aimed at providing customers with reliable internet services at competitive prices.

Under its Fiber to the Home (FTTH) service, Nepal Telecom is offering the new packages to NT Fiber customers along with Wi-Fi 6 connectivity.

According to Telecom spokesperson Dr. Kamal Lamichhane, the annual package costs Rs 4,999 for 30 Mbps, Rs 11,499 for 100 Mbps and Rs 12,999 for 150 Mbps, including internet and telephone services.

The company will also provide a 200 Mbps package for Rs 16,499 on an annual basis. Customers subscribing to the annual packages will additionally receive 800 MB to 1 GB of mobile data per day free of charge.

Nepal Telecom has also waived the Rs 500 connection fee for customers subscribing to these packages. All the new offers will come into effect from today.
