Nepse Index loses 10.50 points to close at 1593.81 level; Turnover further slides to Rs 55.67 crore only

On the first trading day of the week, Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) index has lost 10.50 points today (0.65%) to close trading at 1593.81 points.
Today, NEPSE index opened at 1604.31 points, and the local bourse was seen fluctuating in the first trading hour, after which it was seen in a downward trend. The index slightly recovered during the last trading hour, eventually shedding 10.50 points.
66,446 units shares of Kumari Bank Limited (KBL) and 49,071 units of United Modi Hydropower Limited (UMHL) were traded the most today. Standard Chartered Bank Limited (SCB) had the highest turnover of over Rs. 4.15 crore, followed by Kumari Bank with Rs 2.13 crore.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs. 55.67 crore in which 9.50 lakh unit shares were traded through 6,914 transactions.
RSDC Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (RSDC) hit positive circuit today. Karnali Bikas Bank Limited (KRBL) and Swarojgar Laghubitta Bikas Bank Limited (SLBBL) were among the top losers today.
Sensitive and float index decreased by 2.27 points and 0.78 points respectively. Except Others sector, all sub groups landed in red today. Insurance and Hydropower sub-group decreased by 95.06 points and 30.69 points respectively.
