Nepse Index dwindled by 13.72 points with improvement in turnover above Rs 54.45 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has plunged by 13.72 points or 1.04% to close at 1299.29 points today.
Nepse Index opened at 1312.80 points today and the local bourse was seen in a downward trend.
310,966 units shares of Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited (MLBL) and 191,351 units shares of Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited (NBB) were traded the most today. Nepal Bangladesh Bank’s 80% right shares received approval from Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) today only.
Sindhu Bikas Bank Limited (SINDU) hit negative circuit break today.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 54.45 crore where more than 12.29 lakh units shares were traded through 4,141 transactions.
Sensitive index and float index decreased 3.17 and 1.06 points respectively.
Except Hydopower sub-index, all the sub-indices landed in red zone today. Insurance sub-group witnessed the biggest drop of 114.07 points followed by Hotels which plunged by 50.25 points.
