Nepse Index closes positively with gain of 4.63 points; Turnover further slides to Rs 49.02 crore

The benchmark capital market index, Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE), has closed positively by 4.63 points or 0.29% to close at 1585.15 points today.
Nepse Index opened at 1580.60 points today and the local bourse was seen fluctuating throughout the day.
The total turnover of the day was limited to around Rs. 49.02 crore only today, in which 9.18 lakh unit shares were traded through 5,604 transactions.
145,800 units shares of Siddhartha Equity Oriented Scheme (SEOS) and 48,755 unit shares of NMB Sulav Investment Fund-1 (NMBSF1) were traded the most today.Everest Bank Limited (EBL) had the highest turnover of over Rs 4.68 crore, followed by Standard Chartered Bank Nepal Limited (SCB) with Rs. 3.96 crore.
The best performer for the day was World Merchant banking and Finance Limited (WMBF), which hit 10% positive circuit break whereas, Himalayan Distillary Limited (HDL) was the biggest loser today.
Sensitive and float index went up by 0.96 and 0.26 points respectively.
Except Manufacturing & Production sub group, all the sub-indices landed in red zone today. Insurance, Hydropower and Hotels groups surges by double digit.
