Nepse Index closes positively after downfall of 10 points ; turnover above Rs 69.44 crore

The benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has increased by 3.07 points or 0.19% to close at 1629.58 points today.
Nepse Index opened at 1626.60 points today and the local bourse went down to 1616 points till the end of third trading hour of the day, afterward it was seen in upward movement. The market picked up after losing 10 points during the third trading hour. News of resignation of Prime Minister, proposal of Budget of FY 2074/75 may have influenced the market at closing times.
444,185 units shares of Lalitpur Finance Company Promoter shares (LFCPO) and 70,866 unit shares of Siddhartha Bank Limited (SBL) were traded the most today.
RSDC Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (RSDC) and Himalayan Distillery limited (HDL) hit positive circuit today.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 69.44 crore in which more than 13.66 lakh units shares were traded through 6,444 transactions.
Sensitive and Float index went up by 0.45 points and 0.21 points respectively.
Except Hotels, all the sub-indices landed in green zone today. Insurance sub-group witnessed the highest growth of 20.73 points whereas Hotel sector plunged the most by 15.1 points.
