NEPSE commences the week's trading with a gain of 25.50 points; turnover above Rs 67 crore

Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) index has begun this week’s trading with a rise of 25.50 points. The index surged by 1.90% today to close at 1,369.35. As soon as the trading started, it dropped to 1326.80 and then rose to 1361.93. The market made a minor correction, then geared forward to close the day’s trading at 1369.35. The turnover of the day stood at Rs 67.07 crore.
Today, 3.54 lakh units of NIBL Samriddhi Fund-1 (NIBSF1) and 2.41 lakh units of Siddhartha Equity Oriented Scheme (SEOS) were traded the most today. Bank of Kathmandu Lumbini Limited (BOKL) had the highest turnover of Rs 3.16 crore. It was closely followed by Nepal Life Insurance Company (NLIC) and Prabhu Bank (PRVU). Altogether, 21.02 lakh unit shares were traded through 6,863 transactions today. All the top 10 gaining companies today hit positive circuit. Rastriya Beema Company (RBCL), NB Insurance (NBIL), WOMI Microfinance (WOMI) were among the top gainers. Dibyashwari Hydopower Co. Limited (DHPC), Goodwill Finance (GFCL) were the top losers today.
Today, the sensitive index surged by 5.64 points, whereas float index rose by 1.66 points. All the Sub-indices except Manufacturing and Hotel sectors ended up in green today. Insurance sub-index rose the highest by 295.97 (5.09%) points.
