NEPSE catches bearish trend; turnover limited to just Rs 23.61 crore

Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) Index has shrunk by 15.66 points (1.15%) today to close at 1,348.84 points. The market opened at 1364.50 today and fell to 1346.40, however, it rose slightly and ended at 1348.84 by the end of the day. The turnover that had stood over Rs 50 crore for the past few days last week, stood at just Rs 23.61 crore today. While the market had recovered from a low of 1309.70 to 1389.83, it could not break the resistance of 1400 points.
85,609 units of Nabil Equity Fund (NEF) and 44,870 units of Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) were traded the most today. Altogether, 6.27 lakh unit shares were traded through 3,094 transactions today. Manjushree Financial Institution Ltd. (MFIL), Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank Limited (MLBL) and Jebils Finance Limited (JEFL) were the highest gainers. United Finance Limited (UFL) lost the most today, It was followed by First Microfinance Development Bank Limited (FMDBL) and Reliable Microfinance Bittitiya sansatha (RMFL).
Today, the sensitive index dropped by 3.33 points, whereas float index shrunk by 1.32 points. Only Other sectors sub-index could end up in green.
