Nepal Rastra Bank to issue Treasury Bill worth Rs 13.33 arba today; Treasury Bills with four different maturity period to be allotted tomorrow

Nepal Rastra Bank is issuing Treasury bill worth Rs 13.33 arba today (Chaitra 12, 2074). The bills will be allotted to the applicants on Chaitra 13, 2074. The Rastra Bank is issuing treasury bills with four different maturity periods i.e 28,92,182 and 364 days. The bill with 28 days maturity period will be matured on Baisakh 11, 2075 whereas the one with 92 days will mature on Asar 12, 2075. Similarly, T-bills with 182 and 364 days maturity period will expire on Ashoj 16, 2075 and Chaitra 12, 2075 respectively. Treasury bills are a kind of bond. It is issued by the central bank and is considered to have the lowest risk. These bonds usually have short period with a life of less than a year. These kinds of bills are issued to meet short term mismatch in the receipts and expenditures.
