Nepal Bank has not provided dividend for 21 years. Nepal Rastra Bank has directed the commercial bank to not provide dividend and rather maintain the fund in the regulatory reserve.

NBL had collected Rs 3.18 arba while issuing the FPO in Shrawan and had claimed to distribute huge returns for the shareholders.

When inquired about the matter with the officials, “ We have known about such arrangements from the media. The balance sheet has not been finalized yet.” was replied.

However, it has been almost confirmed that the bank will not be providing any kind of dividends for the FY 2074/75 as well. It will be a great disappointment for the shareholders of the bank.
