NEPSE, IFC, and EU Promote Global Sustainability Standards in Nepal’s Private Sector

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and supported by the European Union, organized a two-day training on IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards under the EU’s ACSIIS initiative.

Over 90 participants from the private sector and financial institutions joined the program, which aimed to align Nepal's corporate reporting with global sustainability standards set by the ISSB.

The training emphasized transparency, investor confidence, and the importance of sustainability in business practices, especially for a climate-vulnerable country like Nepal. The initiative marks a major step in integrating sustainable finance into Nepal’s financial ecosystem.
