NEPSE Concludes Week With 1% Loss and Turnover of Rs 52.60 Arba; Weekly Summary with Sector Comparison, Major Highlights, and More

Part 1: Rundown and Technical Analysis

The NEPSE Index closed at 2,628.91 after losing 26.47 points (-1%). The index closed at 2,655.38 last week gaining 0.55% from the previous week.

This week, the index went as high as 2,679.74 and as low as 2,628.27 hence witnessing volatility of  51.47 points. The index had seen volatility of 60.06 points in the previous week.

The highest intraday loss was 24.77 points on Thursday with a turnover of Rs 11.23 Arba, however, the total turnover stood at Rs 52.60 Arba this week.

 

Momentum Indicators

The RSI reading on the daily timeframe is 41.56. Meanwhile, the RSI reading on the weekly chart is 47.62.

Conversely, the MACD and Signal lines are in the middle zone i.e., with the MACD reading at -3.31.

Nepse Index is below both the 20-day Exponential Moving Average and the 5-day Exponential Moving Average. The Index below the moving average indicates earlier bearish sentiment.

2,600 - 2,560 level may act as the nearest support whereas, the 2,730 zone will act as resistance.
