National Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (NLBSL) has entered into a partnership with Nepal Clearing House Ltd. (NCHL) to automate its payment processes including disbursements and collections using NCHL's payment systems.

The agreement, signed by NLBSL CEO Ram Bahadur Yadav and NCHL CEO Neelesh Man Singh Pradhan, will enable NLBSL to integrate with the National Payments Interface (NPI) of NCHL.

This integration will facilitate the automation of various transactions such as savings deposits, EMI collections, salary and vendor payments, loan disbursements, and tax payments through NCHL-IPS or RPS, directly between bank accounts and customers across participating financial institutions.

NPI serves as a unified interface connecting multiple payment systems under the National Payment Switch and includes over 53 banking and 100 non-banking institutions like microfinance, insurance companies, and government entities.

Since its establishment on June 11, 2014, NLBSL has been offering microfinance loans, deposits, micro-insurance, and remittance services through its extensive network of 90 branches across Nepal. This move towards automation with NCHL is expected to enhance NLBSL's digitization efforts.
