NEPSE Index Loses Points by 35.09 to Settle at 2,725.71; Only Hydropower Sector Close Green

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 35.09 points (1.27%) to settle at 2,725.71. This follows a 29.00-point gain in the previous session.
The benchmark index opened at 2,761.96, touching an intraday high of 2,765.91, while the lowest point was 2,723.82. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 8.71 Arba, with 21,102,540 shares traded across 321 companies through 72,601 transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.41 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.48 Kharba.
NRN Infrastructure and Development Limited (NRN) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs. 40.88 Crores. The stock closed at Rs. 2,275.0.
Mai Khola Hydropower Limited (MKHL) led the gainers' list with a 5.90% gain each.
Meanwhile, Samudayik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SLBSL) recorded the steepest drop, falling 4.46%.
Among sectors, the HydroPower Index registered the highest gain, gaining 0.15%, while the Banking SubIndex saw the highest loss at 2.46%.
