National Insurance reports net loss of Rs 4.71 crore in Q1

National Insurance Company Limited has reported net loss of Rs 4.71 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal year 2072/73. National Insurance Company Ltd is not listed on NEPSE for trading. According to the unaudited financial report for the first quarter published today, it has a net loss of Rs 4.71 crore in first quarter as compared to loss of Rs. 3.21 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal year 2071/72. The company’s net earnings from premiums grew to Rs.18.55 crore in Q1 from Rs.17.09 crore in the same quarter last year. The reserve fund of the company has drop to Rs. 7.32 crore in Q1 up from Rs. 31.83 crore in the previous fiscal year. Meanwhile, Insurance fund has risen to Rs. 28.86 crore from Rs. 26.48. National Insurance policy holder has decreased to 73.11 thousand this quarter from 74.92 thousand reported in the same period of last year.
