National Insurance Company publishes its Q2 report; reports huge net loss of Rs 53.23 crore

National Insurance Company Limited has published its second quarter report for the fiscal year 2074/75. The insurance company has reported a net loss of Rs 53.23 crore in the Q2 report which was a profit of Rs 9.64 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. As per the unaudited report for the second quarter published today, NICL has Rs 1.09 arba in the reserve. Likewise, the company’s insurance fund has increased to Rs 83.23 crore from Rs 82.09 crore in the second quarter of the previous year. The net earnings from premium rose to Rs 44.19 crore in Q2 from Rs 38.01 crore in the corresponding quarter. The company’s number of policy holders has increased to 15,496 from 13840 in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
