Market in sideways movement; Index slides by 0.66 points with turnover of Rs 58.81 crore

The benchmark capital market index, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), has closed negatively by 0.66 points or 0.04% to close at 1584.49 points.
NEPSE index is showing sideways movement. Nepse Index opened at 1585.22 points today and the local bourse was seen fluctuating throughout the day---signalling equal pressure from buyers and sellers.
127,626 units shares of Prabhu Bank limited Promoter Shares (PRVUPO) and 44,170 units shares of National Hydropower Company Limited (NHPC) were traded the most today.
Everest Bank Limited (EBL) had the highest turnover of over Rs. 5.23 crore, followed by Everest Insurance Company limited (EIC) with Rs. 4.36 crore.
The best performer of the day were World Merchant Banking and Finance Limited (WMBF) and Forward Community Bittiya Sanstha Limited (FOWAD) whereas RSDC Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (RSDC) and Karnali Bikas Bank Limited (KNBL) were also among the top losers today.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs. 58.81 crore in which more than 9.48 lakh unit shares were traded through 5,505 transactions.
Sensitive Index decreased by 0.06 points whereas float index increased by 0.06 points.
Expect Banking, Hydropower and Insurance sub–groups, all sub-group landed in red zone today. Manufacturing & Production and Hotel sub-group decreased by double digit.
