Market dips by double digits on week’s first trading day with turnover of Rs 59.33 crore; All sub-groups landed in red

On the first trading day of the week, the benchmark index at Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has dropped by 13.61 points or 0.86% to close at 1575.98 points today.
Nepse Index opened at 1589.57 points and the local bourse was seen in downward trend.
110,052 units shares of NIC Asia Bank Limited Promoter Shares (NICAP) and 57,026 unit shares of Prabhu Bank Limited (PRVU) were traded the most today.
The best performers for the day were Everest Insurance Company Limited (EIC) that hit 10% positive circuit break. Whereas, Everest Bank Limited Convertible preference Shares (EBLCP) and Ngadi Group Power limited (NGPL) were the biggest losers today.
The total turnover of the day stood above Rs 59.33 crore in which more than 4.88 lakh units shares were traded through 4,906 transactions.
Sensitive and float index went down by 2.95 and 1.13 points respectively.
All the sub-indices landed in red zone today. Hydropower sub-group witnessed the biggest drop of 31.28 points followed by Hotels group which declined by 18.36 points.
