Market Correction: NEPSE Index Falls Minimal 2.48 Points and Closes at 2,108.72 Levels

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index has a loss of 2.48 points, or 0.11%, over the previous day's closing to conclude at 2,108.72 points. The index had incurred a gain of 58.58 points in the trading session before.

The trading day commenced with the index opening at 2,123.91, dipping to an intraday low of 2,093.89, and peaking at an intraday high of 2,124.08, which ultimately served as the closing figure for the day.

During today's trading, there were 310 different stocks traded in 73,506 transactions. The volume of shares traded amounted to 10,889,634 with a total turnover of Rs. 4.24 Arba. Market capitalization stood at Rs. 33.14 Kharba, with a float market capitalization of Rs. 11.28 Kharba.

 

SHIVAM CEMENTS LTD (SHIVM) had the highest turnover, reaching Rs. 25.53 crores, and closed at a market price of Rs. 548.10.

 

Similarly, Wean Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (WNLB) showed the highest gain of 9.99%, followed by Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (USLB) with a gain of 9.58%.

 

On the flip side, Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Ltd (UPPER) experienced the highest loss of 10%.

 

In sector indices, the Six Sector Indices closed in the green today. The "Finance Index" saw the highest gain of 2.32%, while the "Hotels And Tourism Index" experienced a loss of 1.14%.
