Rs. 18.39 Arba Revenue Collected in Birgunj Customs in First Month of FY 2025/26

Birgunj Customs Office has collected Rs. 18.3967 billion in revenue during the first month of the current fiscal year 2025/26.

The figure comes after the integration of Birgunj Customs Office and Dry Port Customs Office, which began operating as a single unit from mid-July. In the month of Shrawan (mid-July to mid-August), the office managed to secure 87.68 percent of its revenue goal.

The Department of Customs had set a target of Rs. 20.9821 billion for the month. A year earlier, Birgunj Customs had collected Rs. 15.92 billion in the same period, according to Chief Customs Administrator Deepak Lamichhane.

Looking ahead, the office has been tasked with generating Rs. 273.3948 billion in revenue for the entire fiscal year.
