NEPSE Index Dips By 9.22 Points to Close at 2,757.97; Only Non Life Insurance Close at Green While Overall Volume Stood at 5.02 Arba

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) recorded a loss today, losing 9.22 points (0.33%) to settle at 2,757.97. This follows a 9.70 -point loss in the previous session.

The benchmark index opened at 2767.52 touching an intraday high of 2,775.34, while the lowest point was 2,756.85. Total turnover for the day reached Rs. 5.02 Arba, with 16,855,906 shares traded across 319 companies through 56,824transactions. The market capitalization stood at Rs. 46.08 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was recorded at Rs. 15.62 Kharba.

Himalayan Reinsurance Limited (HRL) topped the turnover chart, amounting to Rs.25.09 crores. The stock closed at Rs. 974.00

Bikash Hydropower Company Limited (BHCL) led the gainer's list with a 9.99% gain each.

Meanwhile, Janautthan Samudayic Laghubitta Bittya Sanstha Limited (JSLBB) recorded the steepest drop, falling 4.65%.

Among sectors, the Non Life Insurance registered the highest gain, gaining 0.14%, while the Hotels And Tourism Index saw the highest loss at 0.86%.
