Gold Hits All-Time High in Nepal, Surges Rs 20,500 in Single Day

Gold and silver prices in Nepal have jumped to new all-time highs, extending their strong upward momentum in the domestic bullion market.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold surged by Rs 20,500 per tola in a single day on Thursday, setting a fresh record at Rs 339,300 per tola.
Earlier, fine gold had peaked at Rs 318,800 per tola on January 28, 2026, before surpassing that level to establish a new historic high.
Tejabi gold also witnessed a similar increase, rising by Rs 20,500 per tola to reach Rs 338,600, compared to its previous price of Rs 318,100 per tola.
Silver followed the bullish trend as well, gaining Rs 205 per tola to close at a new record high of Rs 7,505 per tola in the domestic market.
